Biography

Johanna is a very versatile actor from Helsinki, Finland. She was born and raised in Kemi, Finland. She has a wide-ranging acting experience from various types of professional productions.

Johanna´s latest work includes a supporting role in a Finnish movie called Vares X (2024) and Palimpsest (premiere in Venice International Film Festival, 2022) and TV series such as Karuselli (2021) and Salatut Elämät (2021), the most viewed Finnish TV Series in Finland. Her role as Kiira Lahtinen was her breakthrough in Finnish TV. Before Salatut Elämät Johanna has been doing many other supporting TV roles in Finnish TV such as Keihäsmatkat, Modernit Miehet, Onnela, Syke and Sunnuntailounas as well as several indie films and music videos. Some of her other screen acting work includes roles in various comedy sketches such as Biisonimafia, ZenSuuri, Blokkes and Sanonnot, witch have given her valuable experience in comedy acting.

In addition to her screen acting, she has stage acting experience from The International Theatre of Finland, Helsingin kesäteatteri, Valo Ensemble, Teatteri Sture and Teatteri Kultsa.  On stage Johanna has played multiple roles such as a 14 year old girl, Jill and a 80 year old woman, Lyydia. Johanna is also actively performing with improvisational theatre group, Valo Ensemble. Johanna is also doing a lot of voice work in TV/radio adverts. She has got a very strong background in sports (track and field) and she is strong in dancing. Johanna has also took singing lessons and she has been performing as an artist for several years.

Johanna has experience in both motion and volumetric capture acting.

Johanna´s ongoing theatre performance is called Hätäinen Hääpäivä. In this hilarious comedy Johanna is one of the writers and lead actors. Hätäinen hääpäivä is touring around Finland at the moment.

Johanna is doing her PhD in intimate talk and its challenges in actors´ work at Tampere University. Her study is groundbreaking in the field of communications and performing arts.
